Position:  Advertising Sales Assistant
Location:  Midtown, NY

 
  • Dual report to EVP Client Partnerships and National Account Executive, both based in NY
  • Works closely with Sales Planning and Research Director and Senior Sales Assistant
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Sales Team in the day-to-day maintenance of accounts and throughout the advertising sales process
  • Become an expert in sales operations processes
  • Act as liason between sales, traffic, billing and our advertisers
  • Work with Traffic department to ensure schedules run as ordered and instructions/creative materials have been delivered.
  • Prepare and deliver pre- and post-logs and other reports to clients in a timely manner
  • Advises and acts upon pre-empt notices
  • Resolve account discrepancies and prepare correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Generate, track, and distribute sales reports.
  • Work with Research team on agency requests
AS NEEDED/REQUESTED:
  • Schedule meetings and calls (internal and with clients) for EVP and AE Coordinate travel as requested
  • Handle logistics for client lunches and other events 
  • Support Sales team by researching and organizing presentations; creating and providing sales materials as needed
  • Assist with the development proposals, presentations and packages to address the priorities and preferences of the advertiser.
  • Perform any additional duties as required (we’re a small team and we all are expected to pitch in).
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • College degree
  • 1 Year of sales assistant or advertising agency buying/planning training or experience preferred 
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail a must.
  • Moderate Spanish-language communication skills.
  • Must be organized, efficient and team player
  • Occasional overtime required especially during Upfront season.
