Description/Job Summary

Staff Accountant – Cable Networks
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
    • Ensure all entries are properly supported, approved and electronically stored
  • Account reconciliation – significant accounts include:
    • Cash accounts
    • Fixed assets and related depreciation
    • Intangible assets and related amortization
    • Prepaid expenses and other current assets
    • Accrued Marketing
    • Intercompany reconciliation
    • Sub-ledger reconciliations:
      • Accounts Receivable
      • Accounts Payable
  • Initial review of submitted T&E reports to ensure appropriate AMEX back up
    • Coordinate with cardholders on timely submission of expense reports
  • Support team on quarterly and annual Audit and SOX reviews, as needed
  • Ad hoc analyses as needed
 
 
Skills and qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting
  • Detail orientation and organization skills
  • Sensitivity to timeliness
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, professional demeanor
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar ERP
  • Prior industry experience a plus
